What do you do at Urban Communities? 

Walt Disney once said,  “Of all the things I’ve done, the most vital is coordinating those who work with me and aiming their efforts at a certain goal.” I also do the goal-setting.

What is your experience? 

I’m a jack of all trades… from underwriting (the company is still using my financial models), construction, design, management, etc. However, as time goes by, I’ve been fortunate to find masters at each trade who have contributed to the success we’ve had and continue to do so.

How did you get into the industry? 

After bouncing from one industry to another, I found Real Estate and realized how much VALUE we can create in people’s lives if we realize that our residents spend their lives where they live… such a simple concept, yet so powerful. Real Estate is a magnificent tool to improve their life, and in return, they will stay, bring their friends and keep the buildings fully occupied.

What are your hobbies and interests? 

Not many hobbies… I love going to the properties before, during and after renovation. I get to visualize, correct and enjoy what we create.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

Little but constant and consistent improvements lead to greatness… If you’re 1% better every day, you’ll be 365 % better every year! - My mom
